I’ve seen ways to shorten a cut line / path in illustrator but is there a way to speed up the process of engraving this?
Make that outside line a score line so it doesn’t have to go all the way edge to edge. Then it will just engrave the car only.

The line being engraved here is about 1/8th of an inch wide and runs around the outside edge of a sign. When engraving up the sides the laser will travel all the way to the left and then all the way to the right as AP poses to traveling up the path vertically. I don’t think I can score a line that wide.
Make multiple vector score paths that are just slightly offset. I’d still defocus a bit so you could make less scoring paths and not have any noticeable ridges.
