Engraving on Back of iPad A2588 10.9" 5th Gen

Hi. I am a high school graphic design teacher. We just got a Glowforge Pro HD and I’d like to engrave “Property of Alpine High School” on the back of an iPad A2588 (5th generation, 10.9" iPad) Googling takes me to very old posts, and I want to make sure I do this properly. I wouldn’t bother with it, but we send this iPad out with our yearbook program’s photo kiosk, and someone stole our older iPad.

I’ve created an SVG file with rasterized text that is thin and medium gray. After importing the file, I’m asked to choose a thickness of the material. I have no idea, and I haven’t been able to find that on this model. Do any of you have any advice or resources to turn to?

Welcome to the forum.

You don’t need to manually enter a thickness. Use the set focus tool instead and the height will be set.
