Engraving on wood help

When you guys engrave on wood does it become sticky when its done. If it does for anybody does anyone know a way so that does not happen?

You’ll find more information than you could have hoped for here. There are lots of ways people go about this, sit down with a snack and a drink and dig in. :slight_smile:

It is the nature of wood that when it is evaporated some does not stay evaporated. The trick is to clean up afterwards. I use hand sanitizer which dissolves that crud nicely. You don’t want to use it with MDF as it will dissolve that too. That crud will also build up all over the Glowforge as well and treated similarly, though the lenses will need special lens wipes,
