Started engraving a design on Acrylic at the far right of my machine. After halfway it was engraving much lighter than usual. Could that be just a laser alignment?
Doubtful that alignment has anything to do with it. Perhaps the honeycomb tray is not seated properly, but a picture would help to identify what you are experiencing.

A simple way to test is use a piece of scrap with a test pattern on it and try it at the extreme corners of your table. If the image falls off at the extreme end of the focus that will give support info they need.
If it is falling off, you should see something like
A B
B C
Where A is the clearest, B is the next and C is the worst.
See how it starts to fade
