I was slightly disappointed in the details on this, but I think that is my fault for the image I chose. It is the griffin from the original Alice in Wonderland. It is a little hard to see the detail around the face, but I was really happy with how well marble engraved.

what is the size of the image. The original of the gryphon doesn’t have a whole lot of detail either, still a nice engraving !

I’ve generally found with etching on slate and marble that you pretty much get black and white. And there is a minimum line width, too, as the surface of the rock kinda explodes when zapped.
