It was time to make sure my business card was on point! To that end, I explored a few forums, zapped a few materials, and was able to whip up this little guy:
Outer layers are 110# Park Lane cardstock. Middle layer is 0.05" chipboard for the gears and 0.05" Plaskolite (acrylic) for non-gear parts to reduce friction. Sadly, I had to cover my credentials to maintain privacy.
I 'd think a future biz associate or client would appreciate your resourcefulness in re-purposing assets–and not spending too much time re-inventing the wheel. Many designers fall in love with some aspect of a project, lose sight of the real goal and then spend w-a-y too much time on UN-essential elements.
Get to the point–quicker!
Congrats on a compelling and memorable promotional biz card!
