Exhaust Fan will not activate

I was having excess smoke problems, so I went through the fan maintenance procedure with degreaser. When attempting to restart the fan for the second or third round of cleaning, the fan spun weakly in spurts before completely ceasing to turn. It is not physically blocked (spun it with a pen), all other fans operate normally, and all other components continue to operate normally (still not the exhaust fan). I powered down and verified there was no change approximately 12 hours later. All internal connections appear to be intact.

I had a similar problem and had to ship my machine back, but before I did I put a Vivosun assist fan in the exhaust and was able to do most cuts without letting the smoke out all the gaps. I have a Blu-dry that made short work of the escapees and got a few months extra out of it before shipping it out .

Blu-dry is a bit much for me, but I’ll see how long an assist fan band-aid will work.
