I have the premium subscription and have been using several of the Glowforge designs, if I understand correctly if I don’t renew the subscription I lose all those designs . Is there a way to export them to my computer?
No. You only have access to them thru the UI, and as long as you maintain your subscription.
This is probably not accurate for Glowforge designs. If you “buy” them (i.e. use them) they should stay on your dash indefinitely. I’m not sure if this holds with “free with premium” designs but I don’t see why it wouldn’t.
This is all theoretical, maybe someone will come along that has direct experience.
Custom designs are stored with no limits as a feature of Glowforge Premium. When you don’t have an active Premium membership, your custom designs will still remain in your design library, but will be removed after 30 days of inactivity. Activity can be recognized as simply opening and closing the design to reset the 30 day limit.
You can also export your designs by clicking the hamburger/… menu to export designs. I hope this can help clarify expected behaviors with this.
Thanks for the detail. I think the question was about Glowforge catalog designs. Do they expire or get removed, particularly for “free with premium” designs, when you leave premium?
The catalog items purchased and added from free with premium should not expire in the Glowforge App design library, even if you decide to not renew the subscription.
If anyone is missing or unsure, about a missing our Support team can also take a look and check what happened if that ever occurs.
Thank you everyone for your feedback I think I have my answer
Hey @Brandon.B , glad to see you are still here and thank you for this clarification! I didn’t know this.
