Does Glowforge offer an extended warranty? if not are there any plans to add the option? I am sure there are many people who would pay the money to get one.
in the meantime Has anyone found a third party warranty company that will cover it

They do not, and AFAIK they don’t plan to. I know some folks bought through Asurian or Amazon and they offer an extension.

When you buy the Glowforge, use a credit card that extends manufacturers’ warranties. My AmEx card adds a year. I used to have a card that added two.

That’s a great idea for a feature - thanks for the suggestion! We haven’t announced anything like that yet, but I’m going to send it to our product team with a note that it came from a customer request.
