Multiple passes are just increasing the burn in depth.
I agree they’re two different effects at the “sub-pixel” level.
Unfortunately they’re not exactly trying to recreate something that other laser manufacturers do. If it was important for you that the type of output matches a specific other laser, ie a business need, I wouldn’t expect an attempt to match it anytime quick.
Unfortunately all we forum users can offer is effort to work around it.
