Hi what does it mean when the filter bleeps
The air flow needs to be increased or it is full.
i have done that getting blue smoke and eyes stinging
The filter is full and needs to be replaced.
i have only had it two weeks and it was running on low yesterday
I don’t have the filter, but posts in the forum have indicated that it can fill in as little as 10 hours use depending on what you are cutting/engraving.
gosh they dont last long at the price
Certain materials fill the filter very quickly. Draftboard/mdf is one such item.
how do you know when filter full
When it stops moving the smoke efficiently and or it beeps.
It depends on what you’re cutting.
Hi @cal.robinson - When the air starts to move more slowly because the cartridge is full, a beeping sound will notify you. You may be able to turn the knob clockwise to increase the fan speed and extend the cartridge life a little more. When you detect smells during printing even when the Glowforge Air Filter dial is set to “Full”, it’s time to change the filter cartridge.
I see you’ve written us directly over email about this as well. Since we’re chatting there, I’m going to close this thread.
