I’d like to create a laser outline of US states. I found a vector map online, but all the the states are separate, which would result in a lot of edges being hit twice.
Before I edit that map to remove the adjacent edges, does anyone now of a good source for a vector map that doesn’t duplicate adjacent edges?
If you have illustrator, just select all of it, hit outline in the pathfinder palette, then give it a stroke. That will eliminate the duplicate lines from each state.
Wikipedia has a lot of good vector maps in varying levels of detail. Might be easier to get a new svg from there.
You could just create an outline of all of them together. and delete or hide all the different states?
