This was done on draftboard so I know it’s going to look better on a hardwood. Also, likely I should use a thicker board than the 1/8. And the(my) original image…maybe needs to be less dark, less contrast…just experimenting.

Oooo, nice! If you decide you want to color it, I’ve found that colored pencils (especially high quality ones like Prismacolor) look really nice on Draftboard.
