I’m posting here because I’m trying to figure out if this is a me problem, or if others are seeing it. It seems to have coincided with the addition of one of the new Premium functions.
If I upload art that has lots of steps, or text - there’s a pop-up within the GFUI that warns me about it, but recently there’s no way to close that pop-up, and it covers a lot of real estate, especially if you have both.
Sadly I don’t have an image of what the old close option used to look like - I think there was the word “close” to click on, but it might have been a more standard “x”
If you return to the dashboard, and reload it comes up without the warnings, but that’s a pain.
Let me know if you’re seeing this as well, and once I open a ticket I’ll include that info!
*As a side note, the Learn More link opens in the same tab/window - meaning you have to go back and reload your art, which is a time suck. It would be better if that opened in a new tab/window!
I have posted on this several times, and tried to open a ticket on it. I ended up having to call in because the same and only credentials I have won’t let me open one online.
It’s been that way for a while now - no longer able to close those notifications.
This was irritating the heck out of me the other day. My machine was having trouble setting focus on something, and each attempt added another screen-cluttering error box. I had seen that others had filed tickets and complained.
Glad to know I’m not alone, and this bites. I guess what I’ve been doing hasn’t been comlicated enough to trip the warning, but the last two I uploaded both had it!
@eflyguy any chance of a link to your topic?
I did a search before posting this and I’m guessing I’m using different words than others are because I didn’t see anything else on this.
Of course if it’s also warnings like the camera one, I would think that’s different programming from upload warnings - but maybe not!
Hey @Brandon.B is this a known issue and not getting fixed for reasons, or has this slipped through the cracks despite multiple tickets?
I wonder if the browser add-on that @chris1 used to disable some tedious notification or other could also suppress these messages.
These are the worst kind of UI messaging - absolutely meaningless. The text one just tells you that it did something you can already see and the second one doesn’t warn you about anything that has real impact. The speed difference with a lot of steps vs a reduced set is trivial in my experience and reworking a design with fewer steps takes a fair bit of time as well as eliminating the color separations that may be deliberately done to control different settings or even ordering the cuts to prevent fire or remelting risk or you just want to keep parts of your design logically categorized without different step settings.
Ah, I saw that too and I thought it was just something glitching with my browser. It’s hard to imagine it’s intentional… what would be the reasoning behind that? Probably a bug.
