That is so cool (and useful)!! Thanks for sharing!

Wow, that looks like fantastically useful software. It even does physical simulation! Thanks for sharing.

Has anyone figured out how to use this yet?
The tutorials are horrible, it doesn’t have ‘undo’ and when I open it it doesn’t look like the version they are using!

i clicked around for a half hour and got nowhere, felt frustrated.
After that much time in Fusion360 I had made a lamp from a tutorial and gotten excited.

Maybe it will do good with existing 3d models, but I won’t be building anything from scratch in it.

Yeah, I gave up out of shear frustration!

Never get a programmer to make a how to video or design a user interface!

It took a LONG time, but I finally found a semi-parametric part of the interface. But it does seem overall like you need to be artistic enough to freehand what you want the final object to be.

I made a simple little doodle figure that I thought would look nice on my desk, and went to put little feet on it so the thing could stand up. At that point I realized I had no idea how to duplicate one foot over to the other side. Having not looked at any tutorials at all may not have been as much of a detriment as I thought it was after reading comments on here though.

Still seems like an awesome project, but possibly one in need of a few more contributors to the code base.

Hmm bummer.

We’ll it is something to keep an eye on.

Yes, there is a mirror function, but I hadn’t found the ability to use it by the time I stopped playing with it.
I was just doodling around with shapes when I noticed my laptop cooling went into warp, which usually only happens in a powerful game - so there is some intensive graphics calculation going on.
The “freehand” nature you describe struck me as being potentially very quick and capable for a power user, but the lack of tutorial guidence takes a lot of the shine off.

Lots of tutorials here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCrJf3kPabSqZWZ6Hh5NsnPA

Thanks!!

I’ve been frustrated as well… and I do alot of hand drawing… will check out the tutorals this evening…thanks for the link

It’s closed source!

Free closed source?! Well… interesting choice.

Yeah, I thought that was quite unusual until I checked the bios at the bottom - PhD project

Hopefully they do have some plans to open source it or even sell to a motivated commercial shop. They seem to be doing pretty well on their own though

Is it working for you? Still no dice.

awesome find!!

Yeah. Didn’t do anything special. Can I send you some information that would be helpful? (You’d have to tell me what.)

What are you actually able to do? Does it launch?

If you start it from the terminal you can check the output for any errors. I get the following when it starts up, and it works for me:

I don’t even get that much.

I can draw and make it do the different “Generate” things. Only problem I see is that photos don’t load on the intro screen, which doesn’t affect using the program.
