Front Handle Fell Off

The front handle of my Glowforge Pro has fallen off of the machine. This is the small lip that is used to raise/lower the glass top and is located on the front of the machine. It appears that it is glued on and the glue has failed.

I see that other people have posted about this, or a similar, issue in the past but did not see a final answer because the two most recent instances of this were moved to email.

How do I go about rectifying this?

Clean up the surfaces, and glue it back on.

You can look for “lid hinge” discussions in Beyond the Manual for ideas on how to glue stuff back together.

I personally would either use “Goop”, or track down some VHB tape - not the common automotive type stuff, that is quite thick, but the thin stuff like you get on proofgrade veneer, for example.

Oh no! I’m so sorry to hear about the trouble with the lid.

I’ve just reached out by email to you as well. We’ll continue to work on this with you there, so this post will be closed.
