Hello, my fellow GFers. Suddenly, without any notice of my machine lid feeling loose, the back left side started to peel away from the left hinge and the small silver plate on the outer backside that was attached to the glass. Any idea what would have caused this? It’s been working perfectly all day and then suddenly this! Why would it suddenly come apart? Can I glue it with Gorilla glue? Any troubleshooting tips would be appreciated.
You can glue it. This, unfortunately, has happened to quite a few people…but there have been several who have successfully repaired them.

I recently had the same issue, and since it hadn’t let go completely I thought I would try weighting it down so it wasn’t sprung up, and flooded the contact seam with thin CA glue all the way across. The thin superglue will be drawn into any gaps. I left it for about 18 hours. It’s still holding…
