Gift for a customer

A customer just bought their 5th puppy from us and I wanted to give him something in appreciation. He is a lifelong Buckeye fan living in Pittsburgh PA, so I made him an Ohio State sign using the textured paint technique.

That looks great! :star_struck: Is that a type of spray paint that you used?

Very nice, but it is a sign for the Ohio State University.

Your wife’s name wouldn’t be Vanessa by chance would it?

That’s exactly what my wife said.

It has a base coat of Rustoleum Textured paint. As far as I can tell it comes in three different colors, I just use whatever I have on hand and cover it with a white primer once it has dried. I then paint it the appropriate colors and finish with several coats of satin clearcoat. I cut out two sets, one in mdf and one in heavy cardstock. I use the cardstock under the mdf to raise it slightly higher than the base. The next time I make one, I will document the steps and share them.
