Glasflügel

Years back, I owned a H-301 Libelle, which I bought from one of my closest friends, who also happened to be my flight instructor. At one point we set a state record in GA, and I also had a painting commissioned from one of his favorite photographs of him coming in to land at a beautiful mountain location we flew at. The canvas you see is a copy I had made - he has the original.

The model used to reside on a stand meant for a desk or shelf, but I wanted to get it up on the wall next to the certificate and canvas, so after too much thought but virtually no time in design, I made wall mount for the model. It’s not obvious to anyone who doesn’t know the company logo, so I’ve included it here as well…

What a gorgeous plane. No wonder you want to display it. The logo (and wall mount) looks like a dragonfly to me.

“Libelle” is dragon-fly in German…
