Glowforge and optimizing support

I want to first start of by saying I love this thing . I have some expensive maker toys and this just add to list . With that being said I’m just wondering why glowforge is running their business like Tesla. I hope in the future before i need service that they allow locally trained technicians or users to service their own machine . I cant imagine that every problem needs to be boxed up and shipped back to the company . well time to forge on

I see your point, and your experience seems to be different, but I live an a large tech-heavy metro area and there are no local options for servicing my 3D printer, CNC, etc. Compared to Ultimaker and the like, GF is a tiny operation in terms of volume.
