Glowforge basic doesn’t turn on after we use it for 10-15 min, needs atleast an hour of rest to start back again

• We checked at 2 different power points the result is the same
• We checked with a different power cable, the result is the same.
• Temperature shouldn’t be a problem as we are using it in winters 7-8 degree C

1. Many of the times our work gets stuck as Glowforge doesn’t turn ON after we use it for a single job for 10 min only.
2. And even at the time of the working, it pauses at times and resumes on its own, this happens very frequently almost every 7-8 sec.
3. And many of the times, it asks us to setup again, shows green light.

• Could it be some heating issue?
• Power supply issue?

If it’s only that temp in the room, that is way too cold for the machine.

Basic temperature range is 16C-24C.

It does sound more like a power supply issue. You should email support and see if they can find anything in the logs (posting here no longer opens a support ticket.)

I measured the temperature today, now it is getting warmer, it was 17 degree C, but after one use, it is still not turning ON. Will have to give an hour rest before we can switch it ON again.

Suggest you email support and have them check the logs. They might show what the problem is.
