There are complicated ways but the simple way is to make the hole in the top piece a snug friction fit and then stuff the box with something like foam to keep it from moving about easily. No real engineering required (vs screw down/screw up mounting options)

To echo on with @dwardio’s sentiment that improper terms abound… I still regularly say that “I am out of ink” when I exhaust a spool for my 3D printer.

We overthought this. Then Chris showed up and there was a foam block in the box, just like @jamesdhatch said.
I will ask @bailey to be sure this gets posted in the forum at the same time we upload it to our youtube channel.
