Glowforge just went bonkers!

Ever have your GF do this. Big loud clunk sounds and the whole print arm is dislocated?
Then the top popped of the laser head. Carzy night tonight!

It looks like your material was blocking the left side and the right side kept going. That is classically what happens. Fortunately, the fix is not too bad. You turn the machine off and push the gantry all the way back so that the back wall sets the two sides even again.

Then make sure there is nothing to stop the wheels from running down the rails and turn the machine on again.

yea, Its a lot scaring looking then it is!

even if the gantry separated, there are two Push down tabs - that you can re-attach the gantry to the track (under the rails)

Yeah, that happened to me - once. The material was blocking the gantry, and it scared me good.

Yep to all of the above! Just make sure you keep your material on the metal grid portion of the tray. (If it extends over the plastic it can do that.) :slightly_smiling_face:
