Glowforge Pro Crooked Gantry

Hi there…I have been going back and forth with support but I am getting no where and it takes days to get a response. My gantry goes crooked every single time it does a centering and goes back home. I can manually put it perfectly straight and no matter what it will end up where the right side is higher than the left. Thus every single engraving I am doing is engraving in an upward slant. We have checked the pulleys and the wheels and I am just desperate to find an answer at this point. I use this for my business and have wasted hundreds of dollars in material re doing orders. If anyone has any insight or this has happened and you found a solution please I will be so grateful

What material is that and are you holding it down with pins in the machine? I’m just wondering if the vibrations or airflow are causing it to shift slightly during the print.

If all else is fine, that’s the only thing i can think to check for, though I’m sure more knowledgeable users here will be able to offer better suggestions.

Thank you so much for your response, its marble so it is quite heavy and something I engrave very often. There seems to be something going on with the arm that I just can’t figure out unfortunately

I assume support directed you to this: https://support.glowforge.com/hc/en-us/articles/360033633774-Perfect-Squares

Yes they did, I followed all the steps and had no luck. As soon as I turned my machine back on it did its centering then went back home and the arm was crooked again. Thank you for sharing that though I really appreciate it

It’s likely one of the side belts is not at the correct tension. Compare them with a simple “stretch”, using both hands…
