Glowforge settings warn of fire

Our Glowforge keeps telling saying it does not recognize the wood and is warning of a fire.

That warning occurs when you are not using Proofgrade materials or if the camera does not recognize the QR code in the corner. (You might need to scroll down to see the “Proceed” button.)

But make sure you check your settings before you do…that’s why they give us the warning.

If it’s Proofgrade material and the camera just couldn’t read the code, you can click on the Unknown button at the top of the thumbnail column, and use the search tool to select the correct material…ex: Medium Maple Plywood or Thick Draftboard. That loads the correct settings for that material into the operations.
