I have read that the smaller wheels mean a tighter bending radius for the blade and more chance of breaking. Don’t know if it’s true – the only bandsaw blades I’ve ever broken have been on metal.

My Dad has been turning for years. He is teaching classes down in Florida near where he lives.
I can’t even tell you the last time I even turned my lathe on.
Nice saw! I’m a bit of a sad panda as my 14" imploded on me. The pal that does the upper wheel tilt and such cracked. The machine was a 25+ year machine so it did it’s time.
