Not an exciting or artistic project but one made possible, and easy, with the Glowforge.
Over the years I’ve tried a lot of home automation gear. Next to the front door there was a hodgepodge of styles. It didn’t make any sense to visitors.
To the left of that box was a Wink Relay.
A while back I replaced the switches with GE paddle switches. I replicated the timer functionality in code. This week I replaced the Wink with some Inovelli paddles.
Then came the GF.
I’m not sure if I like the high contrast. I might go for something a little more subtle but I’ll leave it for a bit and see how I like it. At least now guests can figure it out.
