Well it’s already the 6th, but that’s what you get with mid-week holidays 
Sadly our neighbors 3 houses down thought celebrating by firing off mortars was the best answer so we spent the holiday itself huddling indoors and hoping the panic attacks would pass - but the day after we sat outside and ate steak and enjoyed the sunshine…so I’ll take it.
*Extra frustrating because big fireworks used to be illegal here, and then somebody argued that it was their right to fire off munitions without a license, so now everyone with PTSD from wars spends the holidays hunkered down 
For a town that pushed how “veteran friendly” they are, they really dropped the ball.
