They make tiny circuit boards that are complete MP3 players - just add a speaker, battery, and your audio on a micro-SD. Starts playing as soon as power is applied.

Or… it’s ready to play once power is applied, but doesn’t start until someone bends over to look in the little windows. And then they’re close enough to trigger the hidden distance sensor and the creepy music suddenly starts to play.
