Heartbeat of America

My Dad is a big Chevy guy. Some of you may remember the Corvette picture I engraved on some canvas for him. This year for his birthday I had an idea for a simple, two layer sign with cutout shapes and letters. I think it came out pretty alright. Simple design, but, it’ll look just fine out in the garage. Ended up being 18" x 10"

Added a couple sawtooth style hangers to the back and even added a couple felt pads that ended up being the same thickness so it should sit nice and straight

All PG materials, Walnut face with Basswood behind

Nice. It’s always fun when a simple piece comes out so good. You don’t have to overengineer every project. And I kinda like the way you held the R ‘center’ piece. I always do that bridge from the bottom, and honestly never occurred to me to do it from the top.

Thank you, and that’s just the first way that came to my mind when dealing with the R haha

I’m sure he’ll enjoy it!
