5G cellular and 5GHz wifi are completely unrelated and on completely different frequencies. 5G is “fifth generation”, like 4G is “fourth generation”, and so on.
The Glowforge cannot even see a local 5GHz wifi signal. The wifi module doesn’t have the ability to detect and connect to 5GHz wifi. It’s like AM vs FM. If it shows up in the setup process, it’s 2.4GHz wifi.
