Help with 2 svgs that wont work

Hello everyone, I have two svgs that won’t work. Something is wrong with them, and I cannot get them into glow forge or silhouette business studio to prepare them, any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Any advice would be epic! Thank you in advance.

Laser Cut Merry Christmas door Hanger mirror Bauble Ornaments Decoration (1).zip (372.6 KB)

Laser Cut Wooden and mirror acrylic Merry Christmas Decorative Storage Box (1) (1).zip (303.3 KB)

These files appear to be from a “free” site - Atomm. I suggest you contact them for assistance.

I spoke with customer support at x tool they suggested I ask glowforge for help. They were offered free and are still free on their website. They won’t open in Glowforge. I just need help in getting them to work.

You are not the only one to report that the svg versions don’t work. Contact Atomm.

I told you I already spoke with customer service at X tool who posted these SVG’s and advertise them as being able to work on other lasers. They suggested I contact glow forge, which I have done.

I tried to open the files in Inkscape. That didn’t work. The file creator is the one that can modify the file. Contact earth2jaz

I thank you so much for trying.

Download the FREE app “xTool Studio”. Import the SVG into xTool Studio – then under File:Export you can export as an SVG that can then be opened using the Glowforge user interface.

Inside the first zip file, Laser Cut Merry Christmas door Hanger mirror Bauble Ornaments Decoration (1).zip, there are two more files:

  • MERRYCHRISTMASBAUBLE.svg
  • BAUBLE WALL HANGING FINAL.xcs

I don’t know what the xcs file is, but MERRYCHRISTMASBAUBLE.svg is not an SVG file, it’s another zip. If you rename it to .zip, you can extract it and you’ll find inside of it 4 more svg files, which do appear to have meaningful contents.

I did not investigate further.

Well that’s dumb. Good sleuthing.

But likely to lock their customers in. If all the other stupid lasers won’t cut a “normal” svg , why bother buying one?
