Hinged box from box Python site

Made of hickory except the hinges which broke on me so I went to PG plywood

TARDIS mug for wibbly wobbly comparison :slightly_smiling_face:

#2

Very nice! So, even the hinges are wooden?!

#3

Yup the pins are from q-tips :japanese_ogre:

#5

Perfect!! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye::wink::japanese_ogre:

#6

That’s clever. You could also get just an average size nail and snip in half for those pins. Would be a more permanent solution, I think.

#7

That’s too awesome. I haven’t had a chance to try that site yet. But I poked around and the stuff is great.

#8

That would not be in spirit with the “one hoss shay”

#9

I have no idea what this means. ha ha. Sorry

It’s a poem I read from a book called “the treasury of the familiar”. It is about a horse buggy that was made such that every piece would wear out at the exact same rate. It is a cute funny poem.

Chuckle! Skewers might work too, if you wanted to keep the whole wood-look thing going, but I approve the Q-Tip ingenuity. :+1:

#13

Doh! I should have thunk of that! :japanese_ogre:

#14

Oh, makes sense, and I like the concept.

#15

Awwwww, that was cute.

#16

Oh, the Q-tip pin! It’s delightful that you fabricated your own hinges. I wonder if you could make a locking clasp for the front and turn this box into a treasure chest.
