Every year the dressage association my wife competes in has an awards banquet to celebrate the season, and the barn we stable our horses at has long had a scholarship for kids to do some equestrian activities. Given the financial margins of a stable that’s a lot, so this year I thought it would be cool to do some items to place in the auction at the event to help fund the scholarship (I’m also advertising a bit here, for something I will talk about at a later date when it is truly happening). The sign’s backing is 1/8” Barn Wood Rowmark acrylic from JPPlus using a photo of a paddock fence I made B&W and only kept the white. Then added some grass I downloaded from CreativeFabrica (which I subscribe to) and the horse is engraved on the back of thick clear proof grade acrylic. (the weeding was less fun! Gorilla Tape did not work as it typically does). Ignore the fingerprints and schmutz as I haven’t finished yet (it needs a structural backing to hang it). The standoffs are the Gyford lit standoffs (make a 13/16” hole which you have to sand afterwards per the instructions). Annoyingly they use 24V, but that’s fine.
