Anyone know if there is a way to calibrate the GlowForge without using a whole sheet? I can measure how far off it is from where it thinks it is, and input those numbers someplace, maybe?

Nope.
But you don’t need to use a whole sheet of proofgrade. Any flat, consistent light-colored material will work including cardboard.
The key is flat and uniform thickness and full-bed.

The lid camera is warranted to be accurate to within 1/4”. Yours appears to be well within that spec. You might get better results after running the lid camera calibration, but not necessarily.
As already noted, you can use any flat material of the proper size to run the program. Orient the material as specified in the instructions.
