What software are you using?
The technique is generally called a weld or a union, it depends on what’s you’re using to make it.

If you have the premium subscription, you may be able to use the Combine tool to achieve this. However, it may be easier to do in the original program used to create this file.

Hi! I was using the glowforge app. I’m still learning how to navigate and use the dashboard. Yes, that’s what I wanted to do was to weld it together. Are you able to do that on the app? I do have premium for glowrforge and I have illustrator and inkscape too. I just don’t know how to do it there either. A total newbie!

You’ll probably like this as you explore the Glowforge interface, there’s a whole section on premium creative tools.
If you don’t have time or aren’t the type to power through manuals, even just reading the table of contents so you’ll know where to look if you get stuck is a good way to see what’s possible. I know what it’s like where you just want to laser stuff, but reading the manuals can answer questions you didn’t even think to ask and give you all kinds of ideas.
