How to make this image engrave the area around it for a stamp on delrin?

I know this answer is probably extremely simple, but I can’t figure this out. I need to make this image into a stamp on delrin, but when I import it into glowforge, it wants to engrave the image itself. What do I need to do to make it engrave around the image, leaving the image to be used for embossing?

Btw, I know this is a png file, the svg file I tried must be messed up because it’s not uploading. I am slowly learning illustrator, but still a newbie. compass1mirrored|500x500

Basically you want to invert the image. The background will become black and be engraved away, anything black will become white.

That sort of thing is best done in one of the raster programs like Photoshop or Gimp. (You add any cut lines in the vector programs like Inkscape or Illustrator.)
