We are moving to a retirement community where I will no longer be able to use my Glowforge. It is having some problems that are not worth fixing. I am looking for advice on how to recycle a Glowforge. I hope to get answers to the questions how, what, and where.
Search online for electronics recycling for your city/state. There are generally a number of recycle centers within driving distance. Some will even pick it up for you.
Both counties here I have dealt with have electronics recycling, but they charge a hefty fee because there’s no money to be made from that. The local schools have “recycling days” but, again, you have to pay to dump your stuff.
Depending on where you live there may be someone here who would be interested in your laser for parts.
You could donate it to Wiregrass that they could fix and donate to a deserving school.
I wonder what ever happened to that guy that insisted on destroying his GF? I hope he is happier now.
Find a local hackerspace and donate it. They can decide to hack it or whatever
I tried that with my X-Carve and they weren’t interested. Two different places.
sell it ? for parts
Do they have a Maker Space?
