Hi there! This may be a dumb question, but can anyone tell me how to share a SVG file in places other than this forum? I’m trying to give out a free file on my YouTube channel, but cannot seem to figure out how to link it. Thanks for the help!!
You have to have a public sharing location where you can upload the file, like Dropbox or OneDrive.
This gave me the idea to experiment with https://itty.bitty.site/
It’s a cool site that can effectively embed text, data, and whatever else into a URL that you can share. Nothing is stored on a server anywhere, it’s just all part of the URL.
Here’s an example where I shoved a big SVG of a tiger into it:
(the URL is huge but everything is there)
It might take a little more work to make it easier to download an SVG from this, but could definitely be done if those are interested. Kind of interesting…
Nice I hadn’t heard of ittybitty before!
@cathfotia I keep one of my Google Drive folders as accessible to anyone who has the link and link to that. If you really want to be secure you can create a new gmail account just for that and use the Drive associated with that account.
That is actually pretty cool! I have never seen this before, but I like it!
