I made a giant dragon and castle. With help from my friends

I love seeing all the different ways people use their Glowforge. The last 3 months I have been using it to create a large display for Summer Reading at my library. I work at Indian River Library in Chesapeake Virginia. If you are close come and see it this summer!

What were some of the reactions of the kids once it was done?

I loved this video. The fact that so many people are working together to build an environment to encourage children to read and enjoy the library is fantastic. It will be a sad day when the beloved dragon moves on, but by then I suspect you and your team will have embarked on another terrific project to inspire young imaginations. Great work.

I think the adults are enjoying it as much as the kids! We have a dragon naming contest too. The plan was to get attention for summer reading and it has worked

Love the video! What a tremendous amount of work you all did! I can see why it’s such a hit, and think you all deserve some type of award from the city! Brilliant minds thinking of how to put all of that together. Absolutely awesome!

After the summer the dragon may fly into the story time room. He is mostly paper and tape so I don’t know his life span, but he, or maybe she will be around for a while.
