I’ve created a word in Inkscape that I want to cut out and saved it as an SVG file. I import the file into Glowforge, and it imports just fine.
Except for the part where it shows up in the side column, but is NO where to be found in the bed image. I can enter settings on the side, but I can’t find the actual image to click on or draw a box around or anything.
I’ve zoomed in in case it was tiny and I was missing it. I have also gone down a scary rabbit hole of trying to scroll to find it, an experience not unlike Sandra Bullock’s character in Gravity. I got so lost I had to exit and re-enter.
Any help in locating this ghost import would be much appreciated!
Any additional questions for clarification on my problem are also welcome!
The Command A function can work, thanks for the tip. I put the artwork 'outside the 25% Zoom scope, inserted a circle, hit Command A, and it added the two in a box so you can find the other item. Nice work around.
And FYI - If using the ‘Pan’ hand you get out in the boonies and can’t find you’re way back, been there, go up to the ‘Zoom’ box, select the expand down arrow next to the % and select ‘fit’. It’ll snap you back to the bed image.
When you create something in inkscape make sure you place it inside the page borders and it will show up on the workspace in GF when you import it. It’s also is a good idea to set those page parameters to 20 x 12 inches.
