Interesting new laser/printer combo: Flux Ador

Inkjet and laser combined looks like.

A shame it’s a diode laser. The 2w infrared laser that can supposedly engrave metals is interesting.

That’s really cool actually, saves a few steps for me when trying to add color. I wonder how it’s sealed. It doesn’t say it’s a uv printer.

I like it just for the color printing, then cutting afterwards. I feel like i wouldn’t engrave photos as much because i could easily print them.

Also the printer resolution isn’t great. 150 dpi for full color.

It feels like an interesting first draft of something. 2 watts and 150 dpi on blended colors is a lot less than most are used to from the single use machines. It will be interesting to see where they go with it.

That’s Ador-able.

It sounds Fluxed up to me :upside_down_face:

Perhaps it could be used for delicate soldering?

Actually 300 DPI for single colors and 150 for blended colors.

So it prints one color at at time, do you have to swap out the CMYK cartridges between colors?

Yup see above

That’s about like “poster resolution”, it’d be pretty noticeable up close.

Still an interesting machine.

I’d assume so?

At 89 Euros a pop for each color cartridge (and they don’t look very big) it could get expensive quickly.

I hate ink cartridges! The poison pill.

Yes I agree. Way over priced no matter what they’re for.
