Ipe was a tough wood to cut the one time I tried it. That was enough

sharp table saw blade, not hard. how did you cut the long leather string that needs to be 36"

I’m impressed, and eagerly awaiting your video! I’ve got some Ipe scraps from our deck build but haven’t bothered to try them since I thought they were too tough. You can actually see sparkles of sand embedded in the wood. Can’t wait to see how you did it.

I meant with the laser. I was cutting 0.4” stock and it took many passes
In the end it was a nice cut though.
