Is GFUI running like a pig for anyone else here tonight?

Every other site is working fine for me, but when I’m trying to change settings on the GFUI, sometimes it takes 30 seconds before my keyboard/mouse clicks will respond in the GFUI. very frustrating.

 Everything running normal on my end. Ran three projects in the last 5 hours or so.

20,000 people are running the calibration routine and bogging down the servers! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Fine, if you want me to take ALL the blame… :stuck_out_tongue:

running ok again now. for about 20-30 mins, it was hitting clogged spots where i couldn’t do anything. really annoying.

of course, i’m in the middle of a 45m engrave, so maybe it’s slow again and i just don’t know.

Might take a look at your resource manager to see if it’s using a bunch of CPU cycles. If it’s that slow, it probably has a “stuck task.”

Or just close out of the browser or UI and go back in. Didn’t see that mentioned.

well, i canceled the job. then it was stuck with “lid open.” so refreshed my browser. then restarted the GF. now when i look at the home page, the last job i ran isn’t even listed. something weird is definitely going on here.

closing chrome and restarting that. hopefully i don’t lose that job, since it was just the first side of a two-sided job.

time to see how accurate my calibrated machine is. reloaded the job. hopefully it’s not so far off that the last 20+ mins of engraving is a waste.

Ran fine for me last night, but I did get my first ever “Lid open” message and wouldn’t clear until I cycled the power and logged off the GFUI.

I just got the “lid open” also. It started after I stopped a job and came back every minute until I power cycled the GF. Never had it do that before…

Interesting, at least shop knows he is not alone.

I had one of those in the middle of everything else last night too. Gremlins were definitely out in force last night.

Well it’s sloth for me this morning–and also dealing with “lid open” error, too. Glad to see not the only one having that today even though all closed fully & cables all snug (though Buckaroo did need some cleaning around the tray & bottom hinge area where little bits of blown out cardstock did accumulate–but bottom door was tight before then, too. Suspect it sometimes wants a reward for all the hardwork…).

I don’t know about GFUI, but I have to know: do pigs run slow? I had always thought that they could be pretty speedy when circumstances warrant.

Greased piglet chasing contests? (Might be too “country” for most people to enjoy.)

Just try and catch a wild piglet out of a trap for neutering.

Thanks for letting us know about this, and I’m sorry for the trouble. I’m glad to hear things are running smoothly now. Thanks for mentioning the Lid Open message you ran into, as well - I’ve passed this on to the team and we’re looking into it. If you encounter this message in error again, and it persists after rebooting your Glowforge, please open a new thread. Happy printing!
