it says the version released on 9/15/2023 isn’t compatible with the current API in fusion. I wonder if I have to reboot.
oddly enough it seems to be working. I guess posting ABOUT a problem solves said problem.

On this general subject, we can all expect some plugins to get broken because Fusion 360 is doing a major API update.

Some time ago, I had a microwave that broke, and I thought “I’m certainly not qualified to fix a microwave, nor should I even attempt it, but I’m curious to see if it’s something obvious”. So I took the cover off, peered inside for 5 seconds, thought better of touching anything, and replaced the cover in preparation for the landfill. Just for fun, I plugged it back in… and it worked perfectly for another 10 years.
now that is hilarious. I have repaired microwaves a few times. usually it is the interlock switches that wear out since everything is so cheap now.
appliances in general just suck any more.
