My pro is not perfroming well. I have changed the belts cleaned the lenses replaced the carriage and the head. I have recalibrated the camera. the y cordinate cuts long and circles are oval. I did the gift of good measure and it looks like this.
That is an issue with the belt on the gantry. There are very few circumstances they need to be touched, let alone replaced, but as you have, you need to ensure it is installed, and the tension set, correctly. Plenty of information on the support site, and existing discussions here. There is a small possibility one of the pulleys itself if broken, but that is far less likely the issue considering you have been messing with the belt.
I only ever removed mine once in all the years I had my first machine, and that was to simply see what all the fuss was about regarding removing and replacing it. (It’s dead simple, and requires no messing with the idler pulley on the right)..
Thanks. I have been trying to get the correct tension. Too tight it doesn’t track properly.too loose and it slips. The pulley sleeve is a bit loose as well. It isn’t so bad if I slow it down but that is a pain. I changed a lot mainly because it started playing up after 7 years of perfect operation; I got one of the first ones from kickstarter order. It is probably just tired. I might just replace the pulley and see if that works. Otherwise I will get something newer and faster.
