It is time to change the focus error in the UI

I’ve had my laser for a while now, and I feel like I am very capable of working without a tray.

Therefore, this error:

“Your material must be less than 0.5” tall with the tray in, or between 1.5” and 2” with the tray out.” must be changed to a warning, and not halt the job.

This is long overdue, make it a warning dialog with a confirm if you must, but ideally it would just warn you like any other nonessential issue like clip paths.

Let’s start seeing some respect for the users, take the kid gloves off. As it stands now I have to hack something up to trick it with set focus.

I’m curious, when I have done this I don’t get very useful scoring and no cuts.

What are you doing that makes you want to do this and what result are you getting?

It’s an edge case, and the why isn’t really that important. The point is that I know what I’m about, and Glowforge should let me proceed if I want to.

Thanks for the suggestion – I’m sharing it with my colleagues!
