James Webb Space Telescope art

Hey Everyone! We have been super drawn to JWST for a while now. So much so that we wanted to make one for ourselves. This was made using Peruvian walnut on the Shapeoko CNC and some Gold Acrylic on the Laser cutter.

Check out the build here!

Thank you!

Heehee! Being a beekeeper, I would have just thought it was a honeycomb! Glad you said it was the space telescope.

That is very cool! Love that you reimagined the mirror spread as a piece of wall art :heart_eyes_cat:

The only way I could love that more is if it was on my wall!

Have you ever been to a science museum where they have huge parabolas on each side of a hall and you can stand in one spot in front of each and talk to a person in a whisper?

When I saw this, I thought how cool would it be if you could put something like a coin or other tiny object in a small frame on the opposite wall, and slightly angle the segments so that it is magnified and enlarged for someone facing the mirror.

It’s cool as it is, however!
