Just power cycled the forge and the purple light didn’t not return. Hopefully tech support can go through the logs and see what caused it.
It’ll happen reliably if something is resting on the button when you turn on the machine. You can apparently get it to happen with a momentary press, if you have good timing (just after turning it on), say by leaning over the right side of the unit to reach the power switch.

I extracted the logs to investigate the issue and it appears it was caused by an isolated incident. I don’t expect you to see this issue again, but if you do, please let us know.
