I hadn’t used my Aura in a week or so and starting yesterday, my keyboard will not work when making a design! I can use it to add words, but I am unable to move anything with the keyboard, Control C and Control V do not work, etc. I’m ready to throw this out the window. I’m so frustrated! And before anyone asks, no my caps lock is not on. I am using the same browser I have since I first got my glowforge a year ago. I am using Brave (similar to Chrome) on a Windows laptop. For the love of God, someone please help!
Welcome to the community. I hope you can clarify a bit more because I’m not sure I understand what your keyboard has to do with the Aura.
Try using a different browser - Chrome or Firefox or Safari.
As stated, the machine and your device’s keyboard have nothing to do with each other. The user interface is a web application that works on virtually any platform - even my tablet, for example, or mobile phone.
So, also as stated, try a different browser. I use Chrome but have Safari and Firefox on my laptop - they all work equally well. Same on my phone.
Hi Xabbess, Thank you for responding. I am creating a new design, with a circle cut out and words engraved within the circle. I want to copy the circle, so I select it and press Control+C and then paste it with Control+V, but neither of them work. It won’t copy and it won’t paste. When I try to move the words a bit using the arrows on my keyboard, they don’t move. Hope that helps explain a little better.
But it’s worked in the past with this browser. Why should I have to use a different browser? It should continue to work in the same browser.

It’s something on your end. I just opened a design, and copied and pasted just fine.
Your machine is not broken. The UI app is not broken.
Sometimes browsers update and then things don’t work the way they did before. It is not uncommon and it is reasonable to believe the browser will work again. While waiting for the new bugs to get worked out, use a different browser and carry on.
On the off chance that your keyboard is broken (snack crumbs in the keys, water, etc ) does Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V work in other programs like Notepad, Word or Inkscape? If it doesn’t, then that would point to a keyboard problem and something as simple as turning it over & shaking it might solve your problem.
I have had periods where mine wouldn’t work as well. usually if I try a different browser, that corrects the problem. then later I go back to the same browser and everything is fine…
Try refreshing your browser. Sometimes the ctrl+c and ctrl+v do not work for me, and I have to use my mouse right-click to perform the actions, but refreshing my browser always works to get them working again. It’s random.
I’m sorry to be the one to break this news to you, but… Computers are horrible.
I just printed some earrings for friends last night. Copy/paste still works as intended. For me on Mac, it’s ⌘-C/V
